A graceful fern spray brooch, its curved stem set with 101 rose-cut diamonds across pierced, millegrain-edged leaflets that step upward in a naturalistic cascade. The platinum-topped 18K gold construction reflects the era's preference for pairing platinum's bright white finish with gold's structural strength underneath — a hallmark of fine turn-of-the-century workmanship. Each leaflet is individually shaped and gallery-set, allowing light to pass fully through the stones from behind. The pin closes with a folding hook safety catch, securing the pin stem firmly in place. At 8.9 grams and finished on both front and back, this is a substantial, well-made piece rather than a lightweight stamping. A lovely example of botanical motif jewelry from the era, equally wearable on a lapel or scarf today.
