This sculptural estate ring is centered by four heart-shaped blue sapphires arranged in a bold, symmetrical floral motif, framing a round brilliant cut diamond at the center. The sapphires display a deep, richly saturated blue with strong presence and excellent visual clarity, appearing nearly loupe clean and well-matched throughout.
The shoulders are pavé set with fine round brilliant cut diamonds, creating a continuous field of sparkle that transitions seamlessly into the sapphire cluster. The pavé work is neatly executed and balanced, adding texture and brilliance without overwhelming the central design. The pierced decorative undergallery allows light to pass through the stones while also showcasing thoughtful craftsmanship beneath the surface.
The overall design, with its heart-shaped sapphires, pavé shoulders, and substantial gold weight, aligns well with high-end European and American jewelry from the late 1980s through the 1990s, when bold gemstone arrangements and sculptural gold forms were especially favored.
The ring has excellent finger coverage and a confident presence, yet remains comfortable and well-proportioned on the hand. It can be resized without issue by a qualified jeweler.
