This Portuguese 19K yellow gold bracelet alternates two distinct link designs. Satin-finished openwork cages each frame a fine figure-eight twist of wire. Between them sit smooth oblong links with a bright polish. The contrast of texture and light gives the bracelet an easy, rhythmic line on the wrist.
Portugal’s 0.800 gold standard produces the warm, saturated color long associated with Portuguese goldsmithing. The stag’s head assay mark guarantees that standard, and it appears with the maker’s mark on both the chain and the clasp.
Wire-wrapped connections join each link, and a spring ring clasp secures the bracelet. It is refined enough to wear on its own and slender enough to layer with other gold pieces.
